Torah Portion #10 – Miketz “At the end of” - December 12th 2025

The story of Joseph's suffering and exaltation is a picture of the life of Yeshua. This week's Torah Portion, Miketz, “at the end of” begins in Genesis 41 and. Joseph, after coming out of prison, is next to Pharaoh. He's number two in the entire country. And Pharaoh has dreams that Joseph interprets and he helps Pharaoh to understand that there will be seven years of plenty and then seven years of famine and that Egypt needs to prepare. They do. Egypt becomes the supply for all the known world. What a parallel. Over 60 ways that Jesus and Joseph are similar. Now Joseph, in his suffering, is a picture of the first coming of Yeshua. And when Joseph's brothers come to see him, they don't recognize him. Just as when Jesus came the first time, his brothers, my Jewish people, did not recognize him. But the time is coming in this unfolding story when his brothers will recognize Joseph. And the time is coming when Yeshua’s brothers will recognize HIM.
