Finding Hope in Dark Seasons: Lessons from Torah Portion Va'etchanan

When you are walking through a dark season, it is easy to believe the darkness is all there is.
Perhaps you relate to one of these moments right now:
- You have been praying for a breakthrough that has not come.
- You have wondered if God still sees you.
- You have felt distant from Him—as if you are living in a spiritual exile.
If so, take heart: Israel knew those exact feelings.
Long before exile ever occurred, Moses warned that God’s people would one day experience seasons of loss, distance, and heartbreak. Yet in that very same breath, he delivered one of Scripture’s greatest promises:
"He will not abandon you or destroy you, or forget the covenant with your fathers that He swore to them."
Exile is never God's final word—redemption is. No matter how long the trial or how quiet the sky may seem, God remains faithful to His covenant and attentive to His children.
