Torah Portion #15 – “Bo Enter!”
The mystery of the Passover Lamb. This week's Torah Portion, Bo, “enter”, from Exodus 10. It's springtime and the Passover Lamb is brought into a home. For four days it's inspected when found to have no blemish in it. It then is sacrificed and the blood of the Lamb is placed over the doorposts and the lintel of each home. And when that is placed on the home the angel of death passes over and Israel is spared. Wow! What a picture of the blood of the Lamb, the Lamb of God which is placed on our hearts and when we receive the blood of the Lamb of God then the angel of death passes over us and we have everlasting life. You know the first time we see the word love in Scripture is ahavah in Genesis 22 when Abraham takes Isaac up to sacrifice him. God spares Isaac because it was a picture of of the great sacrifice to come. This teshuat olamim, the everlasting atonement that Yeshua would bring as the Lamb of God.
